Last year, JOTA worldwide participation reached just short of 700,000 Scouts operating from more than 13,500 amateur radio stations, operated by 22,500 amateur radio operators across 142 countries. In the USA we had 18,000+ Scouts on the air from 204 stations. Let's ramp that up even more in 2013.

"The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oah and Law."

If you are paid to do Scouting, you are called a Professional.
If you are not paid to do Scouting, you are called a Volunteer.
If you pay to do Scouting, you are called... A Scouter.
